Ultima has Arrived
Doctor Ibal has used Robo Corp to create his greatest creation, Ultima. Now that he has Blip, this has allowed him to add the final piece, which is a voice to spread the influence of Ultima. With this influence Ultima has brainwashed a lot of people including the Council of Doom. All that stands in Ultima’s way now is Space Ghost, Jan, and Jace.
As our heroes put together their offensive, it is soon realized that Ultima is ten steps ahead of them. They will need to use all their cunning and abilities, along with teamwork to stomp out this threat. Can they overcome Ultima and save the universe and even if they do will there just be another threat on the horizon?
The Chapter Comes to an End
Space Ghost Annual #1 does an excellent job of closing the Ultima chapter, as well as setting the table for what’s to come next. David Pepose does an awesome job of sticking the landing on this incredible ending of this 13 issue “season” of Space Ghost. The suspense established throughout the series was effectively resolved with a highly satisfying conclusion. But it doesn’t just end this saga, the issue also kicks off where we are going next, including our first introduction to our next big bad.
Just like the rest of the series, the art in this book is some of the best in all of comics today. Jonathan Lau does a magnificent job with the character design and all the amazing sequences. Andrew Dalhouse did a phenomenal job with the color selection which really compliments the art.

Final Thoughts
Space Ghost Annual #1 delivers a satisfying conclusion to in my opinion the best story arc in the comic shop today. If it just did that, it would be worth picking up this book. But it does so much more as it also opens the next chapter and arc in the Space Ghost saga. This is my pick of the week and is a must have for any comic book fan out there.
Final Grade: 10/10
