Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures #18 by Daniel Jose Older (Writer), Harvey Tolibao (Illustrator), Michael Atiyeh (Color), Comicraft’s Tyler Smith & Jimmy Betancourt (Letters) is a great issue packed with action from start to finish.

The Story

The story is fantastic throughout the entire issue. The battle of Eriadu is in full swing, and neither side is clearly winning. Nevertheless, our heroes have the opportunity to turn the tide. Alternatively, they’re having the fundamental debate of whether they should do it or not.

The story is chaotic and it reads at a breakneck pace. But that’s all a good thing! Obviously it’s a war, and war is crazy & chaotic. Undoubtedly Daniel Jose Older does a phenomenal job with the story from start to finish. Furthermore the reader doesn’t really get a chance to breathe until the issue, and it works really well.

The Artwork

Harvey Tolibao & Michael Atiyeh are really bringing their A game with this issue. Additionally, it might be some of their best work yet in the series. Especially when you see that every panel is jammed with action. Above all their best work is at the end of the issue. Once you see it, you’ll know what I mean.

FINAL POINT: A tremendous story along with incredible artwork make for an issue that you won’t want to miss this week!

Overall Grade 9.0/10
