Fans have had a few weeks now to sit with DC’s Clayface, it’s first foray into a superhero horror film. The film focuses on Matt Hagen, an actor who suffers a horrific attack. Hagen turns to an untested experimental treatment that causes a hideous cronenberg like transformation of Hagen – and the film’s VFX (for anyone who saw it) is an unholy combination of DC’s character translated into the live action DC Comics sphere.

KM EFFECTS, the studio behind Clayface’s hideous transformations, has released some behind the scenes photos of Hagen’s final form and rebirth as clayface, and they are truly stomach churning. the one that has the audience’s focus however is the practical clayface suit that they used to measure lighting for Matt’s CGI transformation and the birth of the Batman villain. The character looks fantastic, just like his BTAS counter part that formed the basis of the film’s story. Fans praised the look. The other pictures are even more disgusting bringing home just what broke Hagen and turned him into a villain after his one bad day in Gotham City. And the other photos are even worse! If you’re squeamish scroll to the end, but take a look at the other photos below!
