They’re Monsters

Toby is putting up fliers for his missing dad to put his mom’s mind at ease in her weakened state. He meets up with Jo where he reveals that his dad was murdered by her dad and on top of that he’s indestructible. At the same time Jerome is on his next mission to find a spirit named Baron Samedi. Unfortunately, his trusted dog Pants isn’t much of a help as he was stung by bees that he tried to eat.

Jerome and Pants hop into a Fetch Car and even though the driver is strange they trust the process. That is until it’s revealed that the driver is Baron Samedi! It takes a lot of effort to dispatch Baron, but that will be the least of his worries, as Jo confronts him after he returns home. Meanwhile, we find out Jo’s mom has joined a cult, and the leader says that they need to save Jo’s soul living or not. But someone else also wants Jo’s soul and they have a devious way of getting her.

The Shepard is Called Upon Again

Living Hell #3 adds to the story well, taking some dark turns along the way. Caitlin Yarsky takes the reader on a ride keeping you on the edge of your seat emotionally. As the plot thickens in the story, the stakes get higher. Each page leaves you in shock and awe. The table has been set nicely for where this story will go next.

The art in this issue looks great and matches the story that is unfolding in front of us. The colors used are very earthy and make you feel the pain our characters are going through. The demon design in this issue is fun and looks really cool.

Final Thoughts

Living Hell #3 is a great bridge to build up the story that will move the arc forward. It has a fun and cool fight scene in between the deeper story pieces that are unfolding before our eyes. This issue is a slam dunk pick up at your LCS and should find its way onto your Pull List as well.

Overall Grade: 9.5/10
