****Possible Spoiler Warning****
Moon Knight and Tigra are back after Marc confesses to her that Hank Pym is actually alive, a secret he took to his grave. But now that he’s back from the grave, he has the opportunity to tell her what she needed to hear. In addition to his secret, he’s also fighting for his life against the villains and the supposed good guys, who are all involved in the newest drug that hit the streets, Glitter.
What’s worse is that the new kingpin running the Glitter ring, Achilles Fairchild, has hired the former enemies of Moon Knight to take him on. The returning enemies are even going as far as having the Midnight Mission as a target. So, with the Midnight Mission being attacked, the cops have a target on Moon Knight’s back, how is he supposed to stop the Glitter ring?
The Writing
I found Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #3 to be a great bit of continuation while further the story along with even better additives. Seeing Marc in such a vulnerable state with losing so much while being hunted down by the city had so depth and showed brightly. Jed MacKay has handled Moon Knight expertly and given so much to his story, and this is no exception. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The Art
Domenico Carbone does a great job bringing this story to life, making you feel the excitement in each page. Something I really appreciate is how well the facial expressions of Marc are portrayed, which makes the overall tone hit that much harder. There’s no doubt in how Marc is feeling when you see his expressions throughout the comic. Rachelle Rosenberg handles the colors perfectly, adding that much more depth to each panel. I really appreciate the bright contrast of colors juxtaposed with Marcs white suit and the black details.
Final Thoughts
I really am enjoying this run, as Moon Knight is always an exciting character to read about. I think Jed MacKay writes Moon Knight in a way that makes you feel every feeling while empathising with Marc.
