Vengeance is at Hand

Tygra & Cheetara are putting things back together following the Mu’tant attack. Both have a lot of apprehension as the Cats can’t seem to catch a break. In this trying moment, they give into the feelings they have for one another. This does not go unnoticed by Panthero and the cubs.

While that is taking place near the ruins of the ThunderCat’s lair, Lion-O is on a journey of his own. He knows that there was more to the attack, and that the Mu’tants did not plan this on their own. So, Lion-O is now hunting Mumm-ra. Snarf tries to talk him out of it to no avail. As Lion-O enters the Black Pyramid he is met by Mumm-ra and the battle will begin.

This is How it Must Be

ThunderCats #11 builds on the epic story that has been built in this current arc. Upping the ante with not just the beginning of a main event rivalry, but also building the romance between Tygra & Cheetara. Declan Shalvey is doing an awesome job of making us love these characters, well at the same time building to a powder keg of a battle.

The art in ThunderCats #11 is awesome and really brings out the feel of the issue. Hats off to Martina Pignedoli whose color pallet captures the feeling of the story. As the book grows darker, the use of red and black makes the mood pop. Jeff Eckleberry’s letters also encapsulate the attitude and mood of the issue.

Final Thoughts

ThunderCats #11 is another homerun from this amazing series. The stakes have been raised and going into the new year, it’s only going to get better. This is a series that needs to be on your Pull List at your LCS.

Final Grade: 9.5/10
