***Minor Spoilers Possible***

The Last Sleepover!

Written By Eugenio Mira, Art By Jorge Fornès & Jordie Bellaire, Letters By Pat Brosseau

The opening tale takes place at a Halloween sleepover. As a group of kids awaits some friends who are late to the party, the night gets weirder when they arrive. Something is off and the group needs to figure it out before it’s too late.

The Last Sleepover is a great tale of vampires and trickery. Mira keeps you guessing about where the story is going and then bam hits you in the face with a killer swerve. Add to that the retro style art and this is a story that shouldn’t be missed.

Trigger Warning

Written By John Ridley, Art By Stefano Raffaele, Colors By Romulo Fajardo Jr., Letters By Pat Brosseau

The second tale features content creators Tre, Marcus, and Danielle are talking the urban legend of the haunting of the Kingswood Projects. After Marcus calls out Tre, he decides he will go spend the night alone in the projects. Unfortunately, Tre goes missing and Marcus feels bad and heads out to find him. Will he find Tre? Will he make it back? Read the story to find out.

This finale story of the issue is tremendous. The premise is familiar, but the double twist ending will have you screaming for more. The art in the book has a contemporary feel. It also gave me strong Candyman vibes.

Final Thoughts

Creepshow #2 was another successful outing for the title. The 2-story format is a great way to give both stories time and make sure the writers & artists get some extra shine in. This book has made it to my Pull List, and it should make it to yours too.

Final Grade: 9.5/10
