The Disney+ series, STAR WARS Ahsoka, has been brought to comic book life. Whether you enjoyed the series, or haven’t gotten around to watching it, if you’re a Star Wars fan, you’ll love this story. Each issue highlights an episode of the show, and issue 4 just dropped.

The Story for Issue 4
Similar to episode 4 of the series, we see Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang on their continued mission to find Ezra. He hasn’t been seen since the end of the animated series: Star Wars Rebels. Ahsoka and Sabine find themselves up against very difficult opponents, and Sabine is left with an incredibly tough decision to make when she realizes she may be alone. With the whispers of Baylon Skroll in her ear, she makes a decision not fitting of a Jedi. At least not one without attachments. As this issue ends we get a glimpse of the perfection that was episode 5.
The Art
In the Disney+ series STAR WARS Ahsoka, Ray Stephenson brought the character of Baylon Skroll to life. I instantly fell in love with his character. He didn’t seem light or dark. He seemed calculated and determined, yet also compassionate. Sadly the world lost Ray Stephenson shortly after he filmed Ahsoka. Seeing him brought back to life on the pages of a comic book was such a pleasant surprise. The cover if this issue is an absolutely beautiful nod to this amazing character that he portrayed so perfectly. While we may have lost Ray, Baylon will live forever on the screen in Ahsoka, and on the pages of this comic.
STAR WARS Ahsoka #4 Rating 7.5/10
In true Star Wars fashion, there are bumps on this journey with side quests along the way. Rumors of Thrawn are spreading, and new enemies seem to be showing up everyday.
Whether you’ve only watched the movies, or your favorite droid is Chopper (AKA the galaxy’s best war criminal), this Ahsoka story is a fun one to watch and read. STAR WARS Ahsoka has really done a beautiful and fun job of connecting the movies to the series, and filling in some holes along the way.
