Indie Initiative: Start Spooky Season Right with Halloween Team: Shadows

Horror comics and indie comics have gone hand in hand for decades. The latest from creator and writer Danny Baram is Halloween Team: Shadow, a sequel to the first volume of the Halloween Team comic, which was released in 2022. This week sees the release of the first issue of this new series. If that wasn’t enough, there’s a reissue of the first series on multiple digital platforms. Per Danny Baram:

“Getting the Halloween Team Series to this point has been a long journey, filled with unexpected bumps in the road, but I’m incredibly excited that we’re finally back on track and able to get the full Shadows sequel out there.“

Halloween Team mashes horror, adventure, mystery, and romance. The story follows five friends who fought monsters in their small town as kids, but are reunited when a new mystery brings them together. Issue #1 of Halloween Team: Shadow releases today, with issue #2 on its way October 13. Issues #1 and #2 were drawn by artist Bugram Berah, with additional work by Danny Roberts. Roberts will take over as main artist on issues #3 and #4. With a team this strong, it’s sure to be fright.
