The Midwest’s largest fan convention returns to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL this weekend. The convention blends celebrities, comic creators, cosplay, and shopping into a week long event.
The Details
FanExpo Chicago is running August 14th-16th. The doors will be open from 4-9 pm on Friday, 10 am – 7 pm on Saturday, and 10 am – 5 pm on Sunday. Single Day tickets are available for as low as $51 with three day passes and special experience tickets still available.
Special Experiences
No matter if you’re there for actors or comic creators, there’s a special event available for you at FanExpo. On the film side, special events featuring Kurt Russell, cast members from Lord of The Rings, Colin O’Donoghue, and stars of Smallville highlight available options. In the realm of comics, the legendary Frank Miller, Absolute Batman’s Scott Snyder, and Inkpot Award Winner Greg Capullo all will host special experiences for fans to meet them. Options vary from guest to guest, but range from priority seating in panels to special autograph sessions, and meet and greets. You can find special experiences HERE!

A wide variety of celebrities will be available for fans to interact with. Among invited guests are Kurt Russell, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, Billy Boyd, and John Rhys-Davies Corey Feldman, Martha Plimpton, Joe Pantoliano, Kerri Green, William Shatner, Walter Koenig, Gates McFadden, Brent Spiner, John Carpenter, Danny Glover, Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, Jared Padalecki, Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Karen Fukuhara, Valorie Curry, Tomer Capone, Colbie Minifie; and Chicago’s own Mr. T and Rob Colletti. Not to be outdone, FanExpo Chicago has an equally impressive lineup of comic creators. Frank Miller, Scott Snyder, Dan Mora, Erica Schultz, Frank Cho, Amanda Conner, Pablo Villialobos, and Stephanie Williams highlight a litany of comic writers, artists, and creators that will be on hand.Creators from DC, Marvel, IDW, Image, and other comic publishers will be on hand to meet fans in Artists Alley.
