The Story
After the explosive unveiling of who’s behind the kidnapping of Connor’s grandma, it seems the stakes are higher than ever. With one of the most powerful men in the world being the target for the kids, they must train to take down the president of the United States. the young warriors are headstrong is saving Connor’s grandma, but Connor has his own thoughts on that. He says it’s much too dangerous for them all and he will save her himself. Of course, this can’t happen as they’re stronger together than apart, and they make their case known. “All for one and oen for all” is their mantra, even if it’s actually from the Three Musketeers.

Time is working on their side as many months in Camelot is just mere days in the real world, so they have time to properly prepare themselves. But it will be gruelling, it will be exhausting, and it will be worth it. By the end of the comic, it’s time to finally put this grand plan into action.
The Writing
C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #5 does a great job at continuing the excitement while adding in even more complications. What I really appreciated about this issue was that we were able to get to know the children even better. We got a look at them training and getting to see more about their own individual personalities. Tom Taylor does a fantastic job at keeping you interested in the characters and wanting to learn more about them as the series goes on.
The Art
The artists of C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #5 continue to knock it out of the park with their talents. In this issue, there are some really great pages with the children training with their weapons, all of which have an anime energy to it with the overall tone. With the great drawings by Daniele Di Nicuolo, they’re complimented perfectly with the vibrant colors from Rain Beredo. Both go hand in hand and play off each other very well. Wes Abbott, the letterer of the comic, once again keeps the emotion of the comic perfectly flowing with his work with the dialogue. Together, the artists nailed it once again!
Final Thoughts
C.O.R.T.: Children of the Round Table #5 continues to be a fun read with high energy. This series gets better and better with every issue!
