Archie VS. Minor Threats #4 – The Ultimate Crossover Comes to a Close

Published:

Thanks to Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Archie and the gang found themselves in the worst part of the Minor Threats world: Redport. Before they knew it, the world’s most innocent teenagers were suddenly the villains, and Frankie ‘PLAYTIME’ Follis was an innocent student at Riverdale High. However, this freaky Friday situation keeps getting more and more out of control, as this hilarious action-packed crossover comes to a close.

Story for Archie VS. Minor Threats #4

With Archie going full Gingersnap, zombies everywhere, and Sabrina still in peril, there is no time to dilly-dally. Frankie has to get everyone to snap out of it, and quick! As the magic intensifies, we learn more about Frankie’s tragic childhood. Which is tied to all the chaos that is swirling around Twilight City’s “finest” and the kids of Riverdale. Once Scalpel is taken, Frankie’s done holding back, and she’s not alone. It’s “ABRA $%#&*@ CADABRA” time!

The Art

The art for Archie is almost as well-known as the art for Mickey Mouse. He’s timeless. Meanwhile, the art for Minor Threats is often gorgeous and gruesome. However, these two worlds together make for some top-notch, amazing art that brings out the innocence of Riverdale and the depravity of Redport.

From shocked looks, to the face of someone ready to murder…again. We get a range of emotions and actions in Archie VS. Minor Threats, and every page beautifully ties these worlds together. In story and art.

Overall Grade: 10/10

We all have that angel and devil on our shoulders. Some just have a larger angel, or a larger devil. All depends on what you embrace. In the end, we may all feel like a product of our past. Whether it’s an innocent past full of burgers and milkshakes, or a childhood full of crime and abandonment. However, at the end of the day, you have to make the right choices to live your life. Or to save the day from an evil magician.

Archie VS. Minor Threats #4 was the perfect way to wrap up this unexpected, perfectly done crossover. The world of Minor Threats is not for the faint of heart. While Archie and the gang are the epitome of pure. Their worlds shouldn’t combine so seamlessly, but this 4 issue comic run managed to pull it off. All four issues were action-packed, full of story, gorgeous, and hilarious. All while staying true to the characters we’ve known for decades, and the ones we’ve only just met in the last few years.

I got to give Archie VS. Minor Threats #4 10 out 10 Pop’s Milkshakes.
