The Story

With Danny Rand’s very limited time back on Earth, he does whatever he can to make it to Rand Tower. Making it to Rand Tower was no easy feat as he had to battle the Wraithlins every step of the way. To add even more difficulty, he’s losing power and energy by the minute. Finally making it to Rand Tower, where he’s to finally come face to face with the villain, Quan Yaozu, he finds his next challenge. He must fight his best friend Luke Cage.

Fighting Cage already seems like an impossible task, but Luke’s body is possessed and he has no control over what this possessed body does to Danny. Now, with the stakes as high as they can be, Danny running low on energy and the ability to stay alive, and his possessed best friend out to get him, the outcome of this won’t be anything other than explosive.

Jason Loo brings the exciting story of The Undead Iron Fist to an end on a very satisfying note that’s wrapped in action and lore. Learning the reasoning behind Quan Yaozu’s treachery brought a great amount of depth to the ending as well as showing just how high the stakes were for Iron Fist. While I am disappointed to see the miniseries ending, I can honestly say that it was an exciting read from the first issue to the last page of the series.

The Art

The artwork of The Undead Iron Fist #4 was nothing short of stunning. The artists were able to capture the high energy of the story and illustrate it throughout the comic. In the action-heavy moments, the artists brought so much power to each punch from Danny Rand with their use of excellent detailing. Complimenting the drawings very well was the coloring of the comic, that had a great juxtaposition of darkness and vibrancy that made the characters practically pop off the page.

Final Thoughts

I would love to see Jason Loo come back to this character as he did a marvelous job from beginning to end! The Undead Iron Fist #4 brought a satisfying closing to the thrilling adventure of Danny Rand’s limited time on Earth, which is all thanks to Jason Loo and the rest of the creative team.
