The Story

Danny Rand is back from the dead temporarily but no one knows why. All we know is that he is to race to Rand Corporation, and that’s exactly what he does. However, he faces every tribulation on the way there in the form of Wraithlins, who will do whatever they can do stop him. Even if that includes possessing the body’s the people Danny cares about.

With a look into the past from the Realm of the Dead, we now see why Danny was brought back to life and what his mission is. Danny is going to change the lives of the future Iron Fists after him, as the hero he is. But first, he has to make it to Rand Corporation on time. If he runs out of time, he goes back to the Realm of the Dead, mission incomplete.

The Undead Iron Fist #3 continues the extremely exciting storyline that has such high energy, it only takes a breath when we get flashbacks. Jason Loo is all gas and no breaks when it comes to this run, with quality as high as the energy.

The Art

I really appreciate the tone changes in the flashbacks with Osiris, the Kind of the Underworld, and Danny zooming through the city, battling the Wraithlins. Fran Galán and Jim Campbell do a phenomenal job at the drastic shifts between these settings, and are able to ellegantly create a perfect balance between the two.

The artwork of The Undead Iron Fist #3 has been consistently high quality throughout the run, and that’s all thanks to Fran Galán, Jim Campbell, and Travis Lanham. The artists come together to bring the excitement of the storyline to life, and somehow are able to elevate the energy even more so.

Final Thoughts

So far, this has been a fantastic read. Jason Loo knows how to keep the readers hooked into the story. The Undead Iron Fist #3 continues the exciting roller coaster ride of high energy that you don’t want to get off of.
