In Strange Tales #3, as the reader we see what Chante, a new Dora Milaje in training, and also Shuri in her lab. Shuri talks about the new mask that she has been working on. Chante is trying to focus on her training, but, something interrupts it. The Hulk is going around and destroying everything. Both Shuri and Chante go off to see if they can calm the Hulk down. Eventually, it’s revealed that the Enchantress is behind getting him mad.
Other characters eventually come to help Shuri and Chante. Dr. Strange and Wanda end up coming, to distract the Hulk and defeat the Enchantress. Ghost Spider also comes to assist, and together with this team, they could possibly be a strong team. When it comes to how the story comes together, I love that everyone enjoys working and helping each other. Teamwork is something that Marvel comics displays very well.
I really also like the art, it has that Marvel classic look. When it comes to everyone’s suits, they all are collectively different, but bring an array of colors. Especially when it comes to Dr. Strange, Ghost Spider, Wanda, and the Enchantress’s suits. I really like when the artist pays special detail to each of the character, to show off that distinct look.
I am excited to see where Strange Tales #4 goes, especially for the Hulk. It seems that they might have him under control for a while. Only time will tell exactly how Strange Tales will wrap up where Chante and Shuri will end up at.
Overall Grade: 8/10
