The deadly villain Arachnix has killed many Spider-Men and Wolverines across many multiverses! Peter and Logan have been transported away from Earth-616 to a parallel universe where Reed Richards has lost everything he loves, and it is up to our beloved heroes to stop Arachnix!
Creative Team: Marc Guggenheim (WRITER), Kaare Andrews (ART and COVER), Brian Reber (COLORS), and Travis Lanham (LETTERS).
The Story:
Personally, I am continuing to love how Marc is writing these two heroes because with each issue, you can truly feel their bond becoming tighter and tighter. They share some fun moments and quips, but also are willing to open up with one another about their past as well. Seeing characters we love combined, such as Namthor, Hulk-Panther, and more, was fun and scary all at once. Their powers make them feel nearly unstoppable, and Marc continues developing fun twists and turns in this plot, keeping us on the edge of our seats!
The Art and Letters:
Kaare and Andrew create a lot of fun action sequences within the artwork. Taking the best parts of heroes we love and combining them to create the foes Spider-Man and Wolverine now have to face was exciting, as there is a lot of detail captured in the creations. Arachnix’s costume design, as well, is so much fun, and the world we are playing in is colorful and swings effortlessly panel to panel with the action.
Final Thoughts:
Spider-Man & Wolverine #8 strengthens the bond that our two heroes are building and continues to keep us on our toes! This is a classic run in the making, and one everyone needs to be reading!
Overall Grade: 9.7/10
