The Story
We’ve come to the end of the Sinister Six’s mini-series, and David Marquez took us on the ride of a lifetime. Getting into the final issue, we pick up right where the last one ended. In the last issue, the team was surprised by the appearance of Revelation and his team of Seraphims and Choristers. Energies are high all around from both teams, especially from Sinister’s Six. They’ve seen the devastation that Revelation has caused with his creation of the X-Virus, so this fight has been a long time coming. As strong as Sinister’s ragtag team is, especially with their changed mutations from the virus, how can they possibly be stronger than Revelation and his team?

Along with the thrilling battle, we see someone come back who genuinely caught me by surprise. David Marquez took the ending of the story and elevated the energy of the entire miniseries by showing a backup plan that pulled hard at your emotions. With all hope seeming lost, the writer was able to pull off a brilliant ending that made you even more emotionally invested in Revelation’s antics.
The Art
Rafael Loureiro, Alex Sinclair, and Ariana Maher have been so consistently fantastic in their artistic talents throughout Sinister’s Six. However, I have to admit that I think the third issue is where the artists truly shone. The artwork of Sinister’s Six #3 was able to capture the pure emotion from Sinister’s team. Whether it be the anger they’ve all harboured or the sorrow they’ve experienced in this backwards dystopian world, the artists perfectly illustrated it on every page.
With drawings from Rafael Loureiro that are dripping in action and differing powersets, it’s hard to look away from the pages. Or Alex Sinclair’s expertly colored panels that make the powersets feel larger than life, that’ll keep you locked into the comic. Ariana Maher, the letterer of the comic, brings it all home with the beautiful work on the dialogue of the comic, perfectly establishing the tone and emotion of every character. The artists definitely deserve their flowers for the gorgeous work!
Final Thoughts
For a team of individuals that shouldn’t work well together, they absolutely surpassed all expectations. With high energy throughout the miniseries, the phenomenal artwork, and an emotional story that keeps you hooked until the very end, this is a must-have for any pull list.
Overall Grade – 10/10
