Monster High: World’s Scare #4- We Have Problems

Well, Frankie might be in way over her head. Writer Jacque Aye, Artist Caroline Shuda, Colorist Katherine Shuda, and Letterer Kielamel Sibal have made another fantastic issue.

We kick off the issue back at Monster High. We see that Spectra has released a story in the school paper about who could be Cryptcrier. Meanwhile, in the Mad Science Lab, Draculaura and Frankie are talking about Spectra’s article. They then talk about Frankie’s invention, and she’s just struggling with it. 

The bell then rings, and Manny runs into Frankie in the hallway. He mentions the answer to her World’s Scare invention issue is to ask Lothar for help. Frankie is hesitant about talking to him. We then cut to Cleo, Deuce, and Ghoulia, with Spectra in the background. Cleo asks Ghoulia about her support group, and she mentions it’s going well. 

Spectra then asks the 3 of them where they were when each of the posts dropped online. We then see Lagoona outside the fence of Gloomtech Beauty’s Headquarters. Several of her imps then show up, and so does an alert from Cryptcrier. 

We then cut back to Frankie at her house, and she is still struggling to figure out how to get her invention to work. She then goes to meet with Lothar at his new school. She then talks to him about helping her with her dad’s invention. After she gets it to work and leaves, Manny shows up and says the Boo World Order isn’t done yet. We then see in the final panel that Spectra thinks Draculaurs is behind Cryptcrier. 

Overall Grade: 10/10 

We are one issue away from the finale, and this issue sets us up for what we can expect in the final issue. I have loved this story, and cannot wait to see the outcome.
