The Story:
As Nova, Shuri, and Star-Lord race to deliver the news of the Inhumans’ treachery, the rest of the warring factions converge on Fulcrum Space, Hell bent on ending this war once and for all.
The Writing:
Jonathan Hickman was able to wrap up this story in a wonderfully satisfying way. This was not an easy story to write, it was full of so many characters and factions with multiple storylines all converging at this issue. The emphasis on the characters and their motivations are what really impressed me. Each character was their own person, none of them felt like a caricature or like they were acting out of the norm. The way this story effortlessly set up the new normal for the Cosmic Marvel Universe. Hickman’s handling of multiple storylines is something that has always, and will always impress me.

The Art:
This art team had a monumental task with the final issue and I’m happy to say that they crushed it. The amount of chaos on every page was staggering but never confusing. The hits were brutal and the explosions were plentiful. The art work in this series has been a highlight throughout and it finished on a massive high note. The minimalist cover was fantastic as always.
Overall Grade: 10/10
This is the Marvel Cosmic event I’ve been waiting for! The twists and turns throughout the story kept me on the edge of my seat and this story restores the Cosmic side of the Marvel Universe to a status quo that is ripe for more stories going forward. I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us down the road.
