Jack has been given a two-month deadline to complete his secret project, and with time and money running out, Jack may have to go to extreme lengths to meet his newly placed deadline.

Creative Team: James Tynion IV (WRITER), Dani (ARTIST and COVER), Brad Simpson (COLORS and COVER), and Becca Carey (LETTERS).
The Story:
James starts this issue on a darker and more ominous note as a mysterious figure who we learn later is Jack is lurking through the streets at night and returns to an apartment with a body in the bed.
Things have finally come to a head as Jack is finding he has two months to reveal his project which causes him to go to desperate lengths and James holds nothing back.
He offers food to a homeless boy to come assist him with his science and through a series of trials we are met with a shocking creation as Jack works to perfect his formula. Through these imperfections we are met with various forms of body horrors that build that ominous feeling deep in our stomachs.
The Art and Letters:
Dani, Brad, and Becca on the letters craft this tale in which we see just what it is that Jack has been working on. This issue leans into body horror, which is shown as the boy begins, as his skin is gone, revealing muscles, then his skeleton, and finally his eyes, all before disappearing entirely.
The detailing in the muscle groups and as each experiment brings Jack closer and closer to his goal of invisibility, as we are only shown his face, builds this creepy feeling within the setting. The crew plays with the lighting and how it is dark and only illuminated on the parts we are meant to see which makes every detail standout that much brighter and creepier.
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
