Thundercats/The Powerpuff Girls #4- The Final Showdown

Published:

It’s The Final Showdown. Writer Paulina Ganucheau, Artist Coleman Engle, Colorist Kendall Goode, and Letterer Jeff Eckleberry have written a fantastic final issue.

We start off with Chilla giving a monologue of how she came to be. After that, Tygra drops from the sky, and the fight begins. She orders her beast to attack everyone. Bubbles tries to take it down, but her attempt doesn’t work out that well.

Buttercup then tries, and she gets taken into a dark, empty realm with an unknown creature. She defeats it, and then Chilla’s monster goes and attacks everyone. He gets defeated, and then everyone gets teleported to the moon.

We then see some of the team also under Chilla’s control. Then Tygra and the others are also under Chilla’s control. The girls then get attacked by everyone, and Jaga then shows up. Him and The Professor then power up the girls’ weapons. They then save everyone, and they all team up on Chilla.

The team then celebrates their win, and the girls are sent back through a portal to Townsville. The comic ends with the citizens of Townsville turned into cats.

Overall Grade: 10/10

While this was a short 4-issue mini-series, it was very enjoyable. Paulina knows how to write The Powerpuff Girls, and she knows how to use the girls alongside The Thundercats. I hope we get another volume of this.
