The Story:
The Demogorgon has come through the portal to the Upside Down. See how this apex predator came to the town of Hawkins, Indiana and crossed paths with Will Byers. Experience the Demogorgon’s feeding frenzy in all of it’s gory goodness!

The Writing:
What a brilliant concept for an issue. Setting the story around the Demogorgon, a creature that was shrouded in mystery in the first season of the show, was the perfect set up. Fridolfs crafted an incredible story with a framing device of a nature documentary perfectly encapsulating the fear and danger of this monster. The story moved so well from before the beginning of the Netflix series and hit every beat that I wanted it to hit. The writing in this issue gave me everything I wanted and more.
The Art:
Each panel was fantastic! The illustration from Vincenzo Riccardi showed off the wonderful creature design of the Demogorgon. This artwork made the monster as monstrous as it should be. The kills were graphic and the blood was plentiful. Riccardi managed to give the creature movement in still images that matched to movement of the show and was just so incredibly impressive.
Overall Grade: 10/10
This is everything I am looking for in a Stranger Things comic! Writing and artwork that go hand in hand to give the reader the same thrills and chills of the Netflix series. I’m very sorry that this is the last issue of this mini series, I could go on reading books like this for a long time.
