Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! This week I’m going to be reviewing the 2nd issue of Star Wars: Han Solo: Hunt For The Falcon from Marvel Comics!
Han Solo has lost the Millenium Falcon! He has no idea where it is exactly, but is following a lead to where it might be. He’s talked none other than Chewbacca to join him on the journey. So will they be able to track it down? Let’s jump into it!
Star Wars: Han Solo: Hunt For The Falcon #2 by Rodney Barnes (Writer), Ramon Rosanas (Artist), Guru-eFX (Color Artist) & VC’s Joe Caramanga (Letterer) is a solid second entry in the series that continues to delight.

The Story
Rodney Barnes continues the story where it left off in the first one, with Han & Chewie on the trail for the Millenium Falcon. It’s a great story that feels like a classic story from the 70’s or 80’s. Rodney is doing an incredible character development with Han Solo to get him from where we see him at the end of Return of the Jedi to where we see him The Force Awakens.
Obviously we know things in Han’s personal life don’t go great as time goes on. That fact can be easily seen as you read on in the issue. Already you can see him trying to hold on to the past, while trying to reclaim some familiarity in a world that is entirely unfamiliar to him. It’s a fascinating read that I can’t wait to see play out more.
The Artwork
Roman Rosanas & Guru-eFX continue to excel with their work in this issue. The continue to capture the likeness of Harrison Ford & Carrie Fisher and they both look great in the issue. Also they do a great job with the backgrounds and just how crisp everything looks. It really is some of the most stunning artwork on the comic shelves today.
FINAL POINT: If you ever wanted to read a story involving Han Solo, this is the series for you. It’s filling in some of the questions still remaining from The Force Awakens while providing a great story & artwork that’s sure to delight everyone. This is one you can’t pass up!
