Deadpool/Wolverine #10 – “Lost Legacy”

Published:

Last we saw the dynamic duo the merc with the mouth had been restored, while Wolverine had gone full Hulk Smash. As Apocalypse continues trying to complete his time traveling mission of mutant paradise on Earth, he’s hit a few bumps in the road. One of them being the mutant hating Director Talyn of O*N*E. However, she no longer has control over Wade or Maverick. While Apocalypse is still controlling the hulk sized former runt…for now.

Story for Deadpool/Wolverine #10

It’s the final countdown! This is the last issue of Deadpool/Wolverine. While Director Tayln and Apoclypse go head to head to see who hates a whole species of people more, Legacy tries to cure Logan back to runt size. Turns out a Hulk sized Wolverine was a bit more complicated than it seemed. As Maverick, and Legacy fight the impossible, Deadpool makes sure to move the story along with quips, dirty jokes, and a Star Wars reference. Despite an Ewok joke, Apocalypse isn’t giving in so easy.

The Art

The art in all ten issues of this run have been amazing, and exactly what you would want in a comic featuring Marvel’s favorite BFFs. However, this last issue pulled out a few extra punches (pun intended). How can you not when there’s a hulk sized wolverine with Legacy 2.0 pumping through his veins?

The action was beautifully detailed and colored, and helped suck you right into the story. The facial expressions were all spot on too. From rage, to fear, to anguish, back to rage, Logan’s feelings are never a mystery. Meanwhile, Wade’s s*** eating grin look was spot on for the Merc with the Mouth.

Overall Grade: 9/10

Another amazing Wolvie comic by Benjamin Percy. Not only was Logan done perfectly, but he also managed to give us just the right about of “mouth” from Deadpool to keep you giggling, but still focus on the overall story. My least favorite part about this run, was the one word on the bottom of the last page: END. However, nothing ever truly ends in the Marvel universe, so here’s hoping Percy has more Deadpool/Wolverine planned for the future. SNIKT! XOXO!
