Have you ever wondered what happen to the band Cold Slither? Well, you are in for a treat. If you’ve ever paid attention to politics and watch it unfold and then think “This feels less like reality and more like a Saturday Morning Cartoon?” Then, you’re not alone.

Well what I just said is basically happening inside this comic published by Image Comics. A fake heavy metal band is created by Cobra, designed to brainwash the masses with crafty riffs and subliminal messages. Swap the guitars for podiums and the makeup for flag pins, and suddenly the lines between fiction and reality starts to blur.
MORE G.I. JOE!
Our leaders just don’t govern anymore they perform, they sell, and sometimes they out right hypnotize. Tim Seeley writes this comic in a way that is funny but at the same time you can tell were his beliefs stand.
“And After Years Of Resistance, America Finally Welcomed it’s Serpent Overlords with open arms”
The cover by Steve Beach is what really drew me in. The inners by Juann Cabal while a lot different from the cover still gives the same vibes of what the cover is trying to deliver. Each member of Cold Slither reminds me of the OG animated series when I was growing up.

Cold Sliver doesn’t just deliver laughs and a wild spectacle, it holds up a funhouse mirror to the world we live in. The Art pops with over the top flair, the comedy lands with bnoth wit and absurdity, and the contrast between reality and fantasy is so sharp it almost feels uncomfortably familiar. It’s campy, it’s clever, and it’s all out fun! For all those reasons, I’m giving this a solid 10/10. Not just for the nostalgia, but because it proves that sometimes the most outlandish comics have the most to say about the real world.
Overall grade: 10/10
But hey, what do I know? I’m just a guy that loves reading comics. But, until next time… READ. YOUR. COMICS.
