Monster High: House Haunters #2- The House Is Alive

The House Is Alive. Writer Ben Khan, Artist Sonia Liao, Colorist Rebecca Natly, Inker Maria Keane, and Letterer Johanna Nattalie wrote another fantastic issue.

We pick up from last issue, and the house is still attacking the ghouls. Cleo and Clawdeen are still in the living room, and everything is getting tossed at them. The window blinds then catch on fire, and red paint drips down the walls. 

Meanwhile, Frankie and Draculaura are in another part of the house. Frankie is in the kitchen when the toaster comes alive, and shoots a piece of toast into her mouth, in which she eats. The mist then gets her arm, and it attacks her. Meanwhile, Draculaura is being chased by the laptop. 

We then see Lagoona getting grabbed by th ghost hands, and Draculaura comes in to save her. Everyone then meets back up in the living room, and a ghostly owl pushes Cleo backwards.

Clawdeen, Draculaura, and Lagoona then encounter a Fire Deer Spirit, a Psychic Squirrel, a Gorgon Bear, and a Wolf. The ghouls then realize that the legends about the cabin are true. 

They all then run back inside the cabin, and Clawdeen texts Toralei about the situation. We then see her and Deuce on a train. Both of them proceed to see the Ticket Reaper, and he starts a dance party on the train. We then cut back to the cabin, and the ghouls are asking Frankie what is happening. 

Her hand is hitting everything in the kitchen, and it proceeds to throw a bottle of turmeric at her. After also throwing a bottle of paprika, it then grabs the meat mallet. Frankie swats her hand with a pan, and then sees a mousetrap, which gives her an idea. Her hand then gets trapped in the mousetrap, but a pair of scissors then cuts all of the stitches on her body parts off. 

Cleo is then back in the living room, where she breaks the singing bass. It then ends up still working, which she is not happy about. Clawdeen and Draculaura then find the laptop, and Frankie is calling for help when she sees the squirrel in the window. 

Clawdeen and Draculaura are then chasing the laptop down the hallway. It then runs in the basement, and the 2 of them, plus Lagoona, are trying to get into the basement to get it. The comic ends with everyone in different places around the cabin, doing something, 

Overall Grade: 10/10 

Ben and their team have created another amazing issue. This one had everything and was super enjoyable to read. I cannot wait for the chaos that is going to happen in Issue #3.
