Everything In Fact Is Not Ok. Writer Cavan Scott, Artist Stefano Nesi, Colorist Matt Milla, and Letterer Ariana Maher made an incredible final issue.

We start with Gwen handing over Kate’s bow at the Weapon X Facility: Beta. Not only that, she also hands over one of Jeff’s teeth as evidence that she killed Kate, Peter, and Jeff. Meanwhile, Gwenpool is narrating the entire thing as well.
Gwen then gets shocked, and as she goes to try to attack, a Gwenpool Robot shows up and blasts her. This then leads to a fight between the robot and Gwen. All the while, Kate, Peter, and Jeff show up to lend a hand. We then learn the identity of The Great Architect, and it’s not at all who you think it is.
Cavan Scott, the writer of this new Gwenpool mini-series, is The Great Architect, and it is amazing. Gwenpool then goes into his mind, and things get interesting. We proceed to learn all about how this comic ended up happening. Following that, Gwenpool is told she is a joke.
After this, Gwenpool then launches into the robot, and Gwen attacks The Great Architect. We then see both Gwenpool and Gwen have a heart-to-heart, and Gwenpool then punches The Great Architect in his face. The team then gets back together, and the final panel shows them ready to jump into another mission.
Now this final issue was way too big to review alone, so myself and NI’s Megan reviewed it together, and you can read our thoughts below:
The Art
Kat: The art for this final issue was amazing. Stefano knows how to draw Gwenpool, and his art every week makes the comic really stand out. Add in Matt’s coloring work and Ariana’s lettering work, and this comic really comes together.
Megan: Stefano Nesi made the end of the Gwenpool comic run go out with a bang. What I liked the best was how Nesi illustrated the different character. Each character looked excellent, and somehow stood out from the other characters. It’s like Nesi gave them their own limelight throughout the comic. In addition to Nesi’s talents, Matt Milla handled the colors, which only elevated the artwork throughout the comic. Both Milla and Nesi’s talents combined made for an extremely aesthetically pleasing comic and we were gifted with a fantastic full page view of Gwenpool’s team at the end.
The Story
Kat: Cavan Scott wins Best Limited Series for this book in my eyes. He literally hid the biggest secret that he was the book’s big villain. Not only that, he also wrote what can be considered a great story to add to the Gwenpool Mythos.
Megan: I absolutely loved what Cavan Scott in regards to who Gwenpool’s villain was. The best way to describe it is that it was very on brand for Gwenpool as a character. I think Scott really nailed the magic in Gwenpool, and just how meta her character is. Making himself the villain as he’s the writer of Gwenpool was the best possible choice for villain, and something I genuinely didn’t see coming.
Overall Grade: 10/10
Final Thoughts
Kat: 10/10 I loved this comic so much. Cavan Scott and his team have crafted an amazing story. This character is someone who we need more of in the comics, and I hope we get more Gwenpool comics in the future.
Megan: 10/10 I am so disappointed that it’s coming to an end. This was such a fun Gwenpool comic miniseries, and I would’ve loved to see it continue. Cavan Scott and the creative team did a phenomenal job all the way through the series.
