As Wolverine, Deadpool, and Maverick all take turns being controlled, they continue to fight. However, Apocalypse hasn’t been the only one working against them. The hits just keep on coming. From western zombies, to dragons, to mutant haters, and more. Oh my.

The Story for Deadpool/Wolverine #8
Wolverine attempts to claw his mind out of the control of Apocalypse, while Deadpool and Maverick are completely gone now. As Apocalypse fights for a perfect mutant future, O*N*E fights for humankind, at the expense of mutantkind. As the two sides with mind-controlled soldiers go toe to toe, Wolverine sees the light. However, in response to Wolverine’s never-ending determination, anger, and healing factor, Apocalypse appears to have created a bigger problem.

The Art
Not only do we continue to get some gorgeous and detailed shots, as we have throughout this run, the future Apocalypse sees took it to another level. From the literal growth of future mutants, to a mutant Garden of Eden. All the while, we still get to enjoy the insane beautiful moments of dragons and zombies attacking. The art in this run continues to kick ass and perfectly move the story along.
Overall Grade: 9/10
It feels as if we’re in the calm before the storm. Wolverine is still rebooting, and the Merc with a Mouth is being silenced. A mind-controlled Wolvie and a silent Deadpool are, fortunately, never permanent (I hope). As this run continues, the story gets bigger, and the stakes get higher. Deadpool/Wolverine is one of those comics that you just can’t wait for the next issue to drop. That last page got me even more hyped for what’s to come.
I always know Wolverine is perfect hands with Benjamin Percy writing. Any and all Wolverine fans, should absolutely be picking this comic up. SNIKT!
