Biker Mice From Mars #3 An Evil Rock and Rubble

Published:

The Biker Mice From Mars are on course for some good news. That is, until the Plutarkians up the ante with another volcano attack! The losses keep piling up, and it’s always one step forward and two steps back. The only thing they have going for them is an informant. Hopefully, the information will be worth what was lost.

The Biker Mice From Mars Battle on All Fronts

The Biker Mice are riding a victory through the desert when nature throws a wrench in their plans. It’s not easy surviving in the deserts of Mars, but the Mice can handle it like a pros! However, Plutarkian machinations threaten yet another populated area and leave the people of Mars in shambles.

In Case You Missed It: Biker Mice From Mars #2 Grit, Gear, and Goons

This issue was so full of action and drama! The Biker Mice take on a couple of Sabre Squids in an exciting battle. The Plutarkians scheme and manipulate in that classic villain sort of way. Stoker and Harley bring some levity and serious emotional depth to the story. I found myself constantly engaged in the plot and the characters!

Biker Mice From Mars Dive Into Character Developement

I’ve been waiting for a deeper dive into Stoker. I wanted to see the tough guy exterior pulled back. That’s exactly what we got here. He’s a great leader. Rough around the edges, willing to make tough decisions, and still cares deeply for the ones around him. His dynamic with Harley and the Biker Mice is complicated and impactful. I can’t wait to see more there.

Villains Rule the Issue

The evil plot by the Plutarkians and Doctor Karbunkle takes shape and we can see the devious nature of this terrible trio. They are staying one step ahead of the Biker Mice and using everything the Mice care about to their advantage. I also love the cartoonish nature of their evil. It’s so diabolical and fun to see Flores ham it up with the dialogue!

Finally, there’s the introduction of Hard Rock. What a cool villain! He seems almost like a drifter, a mercenary of sorts. When he strums his guitar it can do devastating damage to everything in the path of it’s sounds waves! A battle between he and Vinnie goes full on one liners and quips with some dynamic attacks!

The Art of Biker Mice From Mars #3

The artwork from Daniel Gete and Alessandro Santoro is amazing as always. I love the work done by Gete on the Sabre Squid battle. The action was crazy intense and the movement flowed so well. That goes double for Hard Rock vs Vinnie! I also really enjoyed the Plutarkian scenes, especially the color work. Limburger looks so creepy and devious. The drastic difference between the cold of their scenes and the warmth of the Biker Mice scenes are a great way to set the tone.

Overall Grade 10/10

Even as Melissa Flores builds the story from the ground up, there is no dull moments to be had. It’s a blast to read these issues. The action, the drama, and the comedy are all so well balanced. These characters are very grounded in reality and you can feel a connection with them. The villains are over the top evil and it’s a blast to watch them work! This is a great creative team that is a perfect compliment to one another in every way!
