The Story and Writing

Continuing the wild situation Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman has found themselves in, it seems that Desparo’s plans are much bigger than they appeared. In the last issue, we found out that his nightclub wasn’t a nightclub at all, but a spaceship, and he’s prepared for lift off. Once Desparo’s spaceship gets far enough away from the planet, he can deploy the Flames of Py’Tar using the Kala-Ray, onto the citizens of Earth.

Desparo tells the public that he plans to recreate all of the people of Earth into his own image using the Flames or Py’Tar. He says the citizens were created to serve a higher purpose, that higher purpose being him. However, what he doesn’t take into account is the Gotham City Sirens won’t stop until they win this epic battle. Using the power of the conduit, which is actually a power of amplifying other’s powers, the Sirens will do whatever they can to stop Desparo, no matter the cost.

Leah Williams continues to impress with this series, as each issue is more exciting than the last. It’s disappointing that this story will be concluded in the next issue, as I would love to see the Sirens continue to fight alongside each other. Williams does a great job showcasing just how strong these women are, and how headstrong they can be to save the day. I am very excited to see what happens next as this run has been nothing short of exhilarating.

The Art

Haining is the artist of the comic, and they have really brought so much heat to this run. Each issue has been a work of art, and has only continued to grow in quality as the issues go on. Joining Haining is Alex Guimarães, who handles the colors, and makes it to where you don’t want to turn the page as your eyes are glued to each panel. In addition, Tom Napolitano handles the lettering, and does a phenomenal job at bringing power to every sentence uttered in Gotham City Sirens: Unfit for Orbit #4. All in all, the artists continue to bring their A-game to the comic series and knocks it out of the park every time.

Final Thoughts

I’m disappointed that this run will be concluded in the next issue, but I’m very excited to see how it ends. Leah Williams made a comic that’s exciting, adventurous, and all around unhinged in the best possible way.

Overall Score – 9/10
