We start with Scanlan and Grog deciding who is going to ring a bell. Scanlan then lights a candle, rings the bell, and a frog makes noise. The creature’s eyes light up, and then the guys end up in a fight. We then see an explosion, and Grog using his ax.
A shaman is then held by the frog creature, and we see his warriors killed by Grog’s ax. An explosion happens, and then the Shaman is finally killed by Grog’s ax. We then see the guys and their crew head to an alchemist. Scanlan then sees what looks like killers, and then they confront Scanlan and the crew.
A fight then breaks out, and Scanlan, Grog, and their crew win. They then head to the pub for drinks. Scanlan turns on the charm, and then they meet a Dragonborn by the name of Tiberius Stormwind. After talking, Grog and Scanlan then have their drinks.
We then see them get into a conversation with a guard, and the final panel shows the team splitting up, and Grog and Scanlan on their way to scout the sewers.
Overall Grade: 10/10
I love this issue. Seeing the early adventures of Grog and Scanlan reminds me why I love their dynamic in the live campaign. I’m so excited to see where we go from here.
