A New Future is Upon New York

Wolfgang Fleischer is all set for his huge press conference in New York to announce that his company Prophetiq Solutions will be bringing Warm Fusion to NYC. As Mayor Chandra and investors cheer on this big opportunity for the miracle cure. Many protesters flood the streets outside. Including Vin and her rag tag team of ladies of the night.

As the crowd grows unruly, the police push back. That’s until some of the creations of Dr. Fleischer and Warm Fusion arrive. These mutants storm the building and create carnage. This allows Vin and the crew to also enter for their revenge. But Dr. Fleischer has some more tricks up his sleeve for our would-be heroes. How will this fight pan out and who will win the battle of New York?

Mutants, Carnage, and Revenge

Warm Fusion #3 continues the fever of a story this has been, all well giving the reader a satisfying ending. Scott Hoffman painted a crazy picture with this story and completely stuck the landing as well. The body horror element is fantastic, well the heart in this story is what drives it. The ending feels truly satisfying as the bad guys get theirs, and somehow, we also get a truly happy ending as well.

The art matches the crazy story perfectly. Alberto Ponticelli does an excellent job bringing the cyber punk world to life with next level character designs. The art is reminiscent of the animated Aeon Flux show. Lee Loughridge makes the art pop off the page with the colors he uses, well Steve Wands letters really bring out the emotion of the story.

Final Thoughts

Warm Fusion #3 is a near perfect ending for this crazy ride of a story. With a big crazy world, with even weirder characters and situations, one would think a fitting ending would be hard to attain. However, Warm Fusion nails the ending and then some. If you are looking for a crazy and compelling story this is the story for you. Get to your LCS and pick up a copy as soon as you can.
