The Writing:
Derek Fridolfs crafted a wonderful little story here set during the events of Stranger Things Season 2. This story is exactly what fans of the show need right now, a quick tale centered around a fan favorite side character that is easy to digest and reminds them of what makes this world so fun. The dialogue between the characters was quick and had the voice of the actors and the narration at the beginning and end of were wonderfully well written.

The Art:
The art team of Sunando C and Dan Jackson perfectly captured the feel of Stranger Things. The color pallet and characters were fantastic. The art team made the “Demodogs” truly scary and they really jumped off the page. Diego Galindo’s cover perfectly captured the tone of the story within the pages.
Overall Grade: 10/10
Stranger Things: Tales From Hawkins 2 #1 is another homerun for Dark Horse in their Stranger Things line of comics. The story is quick and fun and the art is a wonderful companion to the story. I’m really looking forward to the rest of this limited series!
