The Story:
As Ultron the Scorched continues to decimate the Church of Ultron, Spider-Woman calls in reinforcements to deal with this new threat. Meanwhile, Killerwatt is put in a dangerous position as Flag Smasher puts a horrible plan into motion!
The Writing:
It will come as no surprise to those of you who have been reading my reviews of this series that Gerry Duggan’s writing was, once again, perfection. Each character was flawlessly portrayed and the set up for what is to come with Killerwatt was intense. Reading the three different Ultron personalities in this issue just made me appriecate Duggan’s writing on a whole new level. Ultron the Scorched is down right terrifying! I am so very excited to see where Duggan takes this story next.

The Art:
This issue is full of fantastic artwork. The highlight was Ultron the Scorched, like I said before, he was absolutely terrifying. Between Duggan’s writing and Kim and Hesli’s art, this may be my favorite version of Ultron. Between the action pack confrontation at the Church of Ultron and the emotional meeting between Killerwatt and Flag Smasher, this creative team turned in some incredible work. I want to give a particular shout out to Ben Harvey’s wild cover. Seeing War Machine unloading everything he’s got while Spider-Woman frantically fights in the foreground really lets the reader know right away that they are in for a crazy ride.
Overall Grade: 10/10
If you are tired of seeing me give this book perfect scores, that’s too bad! This issue is just another bright spot in a series full of incredible art and fantastic storytelling. With a terrifying villain and real emotional stakes, this is the best Avengers book on the stands now.
