The Fight Continues
Last we saw Vampiro he was chained up to his own car by the Bad Habit, waiting for Mother Superior to lay down her judgement. At the same time Wyatt and his nephew are devising a plan to help Vampiro, Estrella, and Everitt escape their fate. Speaking of fate, Vampiro’s has been all but sealed as Mother Superior breaks out the Soul Scorcher to dish out her judgement.
Just as it looks like it’s over for Vampiro and the gang, Wyatt and his nephew jump into action. Not only does Vampiro get the upper hand, but he also dispatches Abadon and takes Mother Superior hostage. He delivers a bite to Mother Superior which distracts the Biker Nuns long enough for the escape. But just because they have escaped this encounter, doesn’t mean they are in the clear.
One Problem Solved, Another Begins
Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse #4 picks right back up where we left off and instantly sets the table for where the story will be heading. Michael Kingston delivers yet another issue that ups the ante and delivers on numerous levels. The time off between issues (due to the Diamond closing) did not derail the story in one bit.
The art in this issue is fantastic and as always matches the aesthetic of the story perfectly. Dr. Napalm brings the punk rock style with the art and matches vibrant colors with it seamlessly. Meanwhile, Jacob Bascle finds creative and awesome ways to convey everything perfectly with the lettering.
