The Story for Issue 6 of Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE

It’s Christmas morning, and Laura Kinney is with family, and she’s happy. Something feels off, but she’s not quite sure what. Nevertheless good old dad (AKA Logan) reassures her she’s not actually Wolverine, and everything is okay. The Wolverine memories, were simply stories to deal with what really happened. They’re just a normal happy family that loves each other.

The Art

While this issue didn’t have the amazing fight scenes that have graced the pages of past issues, it still had absolutely beautiful scenes, as well as a lot of action. Emotions still ran wild, and every reaction was seen on each character’s face. The art continues to work perfectly alongside the story, as we follow along on this adventure with Wolverine.

Overall Grade: 10/10

This was another 10 out of 10 for me. I’m a sucker for any comic where Logan shows up, but this was on a whole other level. I always love the alternate reality stories. It creates a longing for the world you actually know, no matter how bad. However, Laura seems happy. Well, as happy as someone with her trauma could be. How long that will last, and what is actually real, remains to be seen. The bow on top of the Christmas presents that Santa forgot to bring, were the little nods to Marvel comics and movies.

Laura Kinney WOLVERINE has been non stop action and fantastic story telling all wrapped up in some gorgeous art. If you’ve yet to truly meet X-23 AKA Wolverine, this is the perfect run to do so. SNIKT!
