The Story:
The Avengers are here and they do not believe that Ultron has changed his ways. Iron Man and War Machine have to convince a team full of reasons not to trust him that Ultron is now trustworthy.
The Writing:
I’m going to spend my time hyping up Gerry Duggan once again. He just gets these characters. Each member of each team has a moment to really shine and stand out. The arguments from both teams are well thought out and understandable and the confrontation was just as interesting when the two groups were sparring with words as it was when they were using their fists. Both the wrap up to this story and the tease for the one to follow were perfectly executed.
The Art:
The artwork in this issue was beautiful. Each character jumped off the page with incredible colors and interesting panel layouts. The execution of the display of each Avengers powerset was excellent as well. The stand out for me was the small moments with Scarlet Witch and her wonderful deflection of Spider-Woman’s punch. The cover being an homage to Civil War was a nice touch!
Overall Grade: 10/10
Another perfect score for my favorite book on the shelves now. From the cover to the writing and the artwork, this series has been one hit after the other. This issue continues the trend of greatness for this series, I’m not sure how they keep topping themselves but I’m looking forward to them doing it again next month!
