Thor is one of those interesting characters, who has a heart and ultimately cares about people. In issue number twenty-two, it gives a perspective of Thor being trapped somewhere. An entity is talking to him, about what is going on around him. I find it interesting that the comic starts this way, because many other comics do this as well. When Thor wakes up in Utgard, he is reunited with his brother briefly. I obviously love when Thor and Loki interact, whether in the comics or in the MCU.
What I noticed also is that Thor was talking like he was back in Asgard. A lot of poetic mannerisms, and also a lot of passion in his voice. It kind of got a little distracting, because I am use to a lot of modern takes on Thor. One other thing was the font in the bubbles when characters were talking to each other. It was really hard to read at some times, and I had to constantly go back and read it.
When it comes to the art, it is really beautiful, and Alex Ross does a good job on the cover and Jan Bazadua does well on the art within the comic. It shows bright and beautiful colors that display Thor and the rest of the characters who talk to him. I always enjoy the art in most of the Marvel comics, because it brings me into the story right away. Overall, this issue was great, and I can’t wait to see exactly what Thor will do next in his journey in Utgard.
Overall Grade: 8.5/10.
