The Story

Moon Knight says his way of trying to take down Fairchild was all wrong, as he should’ve started at the bottom rather than starting at the top. So to start at the bottom, they must attack the Glitter problem. In order to fix the problem, they need to have an antagonist agent to the Glitter, something that’ll allow the people addicted to the drug to quit without dying. They need a scientist that is able to create such a thing, and Moon Knight has just the scientist in mind; Hank Pym.

The problem is that Hank Pym isn’t able to be found, as he’s gone sub-atomica, so they’ll need a way to lure him out. 8-Ball throws out the idea of kidnapping, as that’s what he did when he was a villain, and Moon Knight says Hank has a daughter, Nadia. But instead of kidnapping Nadia, Moon Knight says they just need to scare her, as Hank has said himself that he’s always watching Nadia. The hope is that this will bring Hank out of hiding. So, the former villains create a new team of villains called the Pool Party and go to put their plan in action.

The Writing

Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu has been such a serious run as far as the tone goes, so the seventh installment showing some humor was a breath of fresh air. There still was a more serious feel to the whole thing but 8-Ball added something new to the storyline. Jed MacKay continues to knock it out of the park with Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu, with each installment having its own gripping story.

In Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #7, there were quite a few different emotions throughout the comic such as Tigra telling Hank about her son, or the fighting sequences with Nadia and the Pool Party. MacKay does a great job making the comic feel like a full course dinner. Can’t wait to see what’s next!

The Art

There were some really excellent panels here courtesy of Domenico Carbone, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Cory Petit. Some of the best visuals, in my opinion, have to do with Hank and the fight between the Pool Party and Nadia. Carbone used so many creative ways to show the excitement of the fight with Nadia and the team of fake villains, while Rosenberg made each panel hit even harder with her use of contrasting colors. Out of all the installments of Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu, I’d say the seventh is easily the most visually exciting. The artists deserve a ten out of ten themselves.

Overall Grade – 9.2/10
