A Lifelong Journey

A child of a migrant worker, Thomàs has big dreams and aspirations. Along with his friend Lisa, they set out to overcome their disadvantages and make their dreams a reality. Through school, being cadets, and many setbacks the two keep pushing forward. However, just as it appears that dreams will come true, they have a falling out. Adding yet another roadblock.

As their paths separate, they face new challenges. Thomàs now an astronaut, runs into some trouble from Aliens. Well Lisa goes on a spiritual journey caused by her guilt for what Thomàs is going through. Will the two come back together and overcome yet again or will this fairy tale turn into a nightmare?

Inspirational

The story is very inspirational and touches the reader right in the feels. Omar Morales does a fantastic job of showing that dreams come true even through trial and tribulations. The message of never giving up, no matter the setback is an awesome lesson for any younger reader. Even though this book has amazing inspiration, don’t worry there is excitement and even some action.

The art department really makes an impact on the story. The images and colors match the tone of the story perfectly. The art really brings you in and brings this world to life.

Final Thoughts

Major Thomàs is a really good inspirational piece of work. This should be a must-read for young adults and adolescents to show them that dreams can come true if you work towards them. If you have a young person in your life, sign into Comixology and have them read this graphic novel.
