The opening of the issue shows Mojo Jojo with a bunch of unidentified boxes. We then see him playing the jazz saxophone on a stage. Blossom and the girls show up to find out that the Battle Of The Bands competition is happening in Townsville.
The girls then decide to start their own band and enter the event. They then fly back home and start trying to figure things out. The problem: they all want to do a different genre. Buttercup wants to do a metal song. We see Blossom wanting to do a jazz/classical fusion. Bubbles, on the other hand, wants to do a pop song.
We then see the girls split to each make their bands. Blossom ends up teaming with Mojo Jojo. Buttercup is working with Him, and Bubbles lands with Princess Morbucks. We then see that for once, Townsville is in a state of calm.
That calm is then immediately destroyed when the Battle Of The Bands event starts. We then see Bubbles and Morbucks go first, and it doesn’t go as well as they thought. Blossom and Mojo are next, and their performance also doesn’t go quite according to plan. Finally Buttercup and Him perform and it actually goes to plan. But those were them rehearsing.
The actual competition starts and then it erupts into the girls fighting each other, and the villains also fighting each other. After an intense back and forth, the girls realize that they don’t need a musical band, but a superhero band. They then take out Morbucks, Mojo Jojo, and Him.
