This issue of Thundercats Lost number one, has great potential, starting off this first issue. I really enjoyed getting to see all of the characters: Pumyra, Lynx-0, Shen, and Ligon working together. It really gives me Suicide Squad vibes.
There is no short of action, as each comic panel provides action sequences throughout it. It starts off really strong, with not a ton of dialogue, but the action speaks for itself.
MORE THUNDERCATS!
In this issue it provides world building right away, I jumped right into where they are. The question is, how far are they willing to fight? Will they prevail against their enemy? So many unanswered questions that need to be answered. I also like that the guys and girls are both evenly as strong. It seems that the main goal is to make sure that they can protect themselves, and protect their team.
One thing that I am missing through this first issue, is their personality. I want to see what makes each character unique. I am sure with time, and many more issues, there will be time for back story and really dive into these characters. It has become apparent that also, that this is setting a conflict for the next issue to address.
I really like the art, the art seems very “realistic” looking. It really gives texture to each of the characters. Some of them have spots, long hair, or very textured skin. I also like if they are using different items to fight with, you can see the impact it has when fighting. I’m interested to read the next issue, and see what happens with the group.
Overall Grade: 9/10.
