Space Ghost #11:
It’s Punisher meets Star Wars aka Space Ghost time from one of our favorites – Mr. David Pepose! David is on the top of his game and truly in his prime at the moment.
He’s penned some of the best comics in the game and his name carries a lot of weight when entering a new franchise.
For those new to Space Ghost, this unlikely hero is one that protects the federation from pirates and thieves alike, as peaceful territories try to just survive amid the chaos and destruction.
Creative Team:
Writer: David Pepose
Artist: Jonathan Lau
Color Artist: Andrew Dalhouse
Letters: Taylor Esposito
PUBLISHER: Dynmite Entertainment
The Art:
The art truly does feel like Star Wars in that it’s so fresh, new and unique, especially the gallery of villains that are coming for Space Ghost in this issue.
Each character brings a unique terrifying aspect to the group and the art is the best way to impact the reader. Very little words are needed as you inspect each and every disgusting character looking to take Space Ghost down once and for all.
With Space Ghost himself and his young partners, the art ebbs and flows between majestic and child-like, which really helps to show the split between the team.

The Writing:
You know when it comes to Pepose, it’s going to be hard not to be overly glowing, but I’ll try to do my best to be impartial.
Maybe, I lied, because here Pepose really tells a story with action, emotion and clear baggage regarding our hero.
The issue is heartfelt, while being light and fun and open to a myriad of comic fans. It does end in a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more and desperate to know the fate of our hero and his team.
Guess we’ll have to wait till issue #12 to find that out!
Overall Grade: 9.0/10
As my first Space Ghost experience, this was a fun ride! Pepose and Lau really bring a blend of action and storytelling in a fun-filled issue that leaves the reader salivating for more. This is a must add to anyone’s pull list!
