The Adventure Begins
Snarf feeling alone and lost wanders off through Third Earth. He gets distracted by a butterfly which he chases around the fields. As it gets dark, he finds shelter to get some sleep in. But he is awakened by a light that leads him into a cavern where other Snarf like creatures are. However, these creatures are not friendly.
Snarf finds himself in a battle with creatures like him. As he thinks he’s won, the meanest cat of them all enters the fray. Just when Snarf looks like he is going to be in trouble a familiar stranger saves him. The stranger turns out to be Apex, and he has a mission that Snarf must go on to save his ThunderCats family.
Help is on the Way
ThunderCats #13 has very few words and is told primarily through art and the art delivers and some. Drew Moss brings this adventure to life with his beautiful set and character designs. Telling a story with mostly art is challenging but nailed by this art team. Pignedoli & La Pietra uses their colors to make everything jump off the page. Can’t praise this art team enough for the work on this issue.

Final Thoughts
ThunderCats #13 is a good continuation of this ThunderCats saga. What it lacks in words it more than makes up for in art. This issue has pumped me up for what’s to come as we move forward in this story. Make sure to grab a copy at the LCS and really consider adding this title to your Pull List.
Overall Grade: 8.5/10
