The Loose End #1- A Tribute To 90s Crime Drama Films

It’s a perfect tribute to 90’s Crime/Drama films in a comic book. Writer Dave Dwonch and Artist Travis Hymel have created an amazing first issue. 

This first issue sets up where the story is going in the next 3 issues. Dave created such a beautiful story that pays omage to the films that is based on. It’s also interesting to see the flashbacks of the days leading up to the casino game. But it’s also interesting to see the aftermath, and how that is going to affect the story going forward. 

While Dave’s writing creates one half of the story, Travis’ art is the other half of the story. He created compelling art to go with the story. From the first page to the last, the art brings into the comic book. The art also does a really good job of showing what goes down from the speeding truck to the negotiation on the final page. 

Steven gets embroiled when a casino night goes bad. He then has to kill a Hollywood producer. The first issue sets that part of the story up. But the issue also introduces us to the guys that want our producer dead as well. 

Final Grade: 10/10

Titan is continuing to release really good and creative comics. The Loose End is included inside that list. From page 1, this story will suck you in, and make you excited for what’s coming next.
