Last we saw Babs, she was captured and made to work in the mines. It wasn’t all bad as she is reunited with Izzy at least. The question becomes how long it will take our heroes to escape and get their hands on Tiberius Toledo?

Escape from the Mines
The rag tag incel group is starting to realize that they are never going to be accepted by the White Knights, no matter how many others they turn in. Mork goes to see Tiberius and is informed that he is just a whiner and needs to cease the day and take what he wants if he wants to succeed.
Meanwhile, in the mines Babs and Izzy are plotting their escape from slavery. They have made tentative friends with Ruedalf Stormflagon and Culpepper. The group picks the cyclops guard that they think they can seduce and get the keys from. Culpepper is against the ladies using sex to get the Cyclops attention. Thankfully they don’t have to as they are not the guards cup of tea; however, Culpepper is. After escaping, its time to have a showdown with Tiberius Toledo.
Hands on the Cyclops
Babs #5 delivers the funny, action, and drama that we’ve come to expect from this series. Garth Ennis seamlessly takes issues of our world and melds them into this story. The “gutter” humor is on point as it usually, and the action in this issue is top notch as well.
The art looks great as always. The Saturday morning cartoon art style matches the theme of this series perfectly. Jacen Burrows does an excellent job on the character designs, as well as the world around them. Andy Troy uses a color pallet that fits the medieval setting flawlessly. The lettering is also on point and fits the stories narrative.

Babs #5 continues the streak of fun books in this series. The current climate in the U.S. parallels this issue and series overall. If you are looking for an issue that is a lot of fun, and a series that is even more fun. Run, don’t walk to your LCS, grab a copy, and add Babs to your Pull List.
