Stuck on Reality TV
Issue 2 opens with Jury Quire and her partner secretly investigating a tech planet. Miss Quire mentions this is the exact kind of espionage job she would have Barbarella do for her, but she’s stuck on Planet V.
Speaking of Barbarella, she’s finding escaping from Planet V more difficult than she thought it would be. As Barbarella, Vix, and Spearean bump into another reality star who films on Planet V, however Jakannah is not happy to see them and wants the escape pod to herself.
The Fleet Arrives
Barbarella #2 does an awesome job of building on the story from issue 1. Blake Northcott is expanding the world and not only continuing the initial story arc, but also building up what’s to come. There is a perfect amount of action mixed with some witty comedy throughout this issue. Northcott is creating a great alternative to the usual hero story.
The art in this book is beautiful. It gives real Saturday Morning Cartoon vibes with a slight adult quality to it. The colors are vibrant and very appealing. Gushing over the art in this book is easy to do, and it’s well deserved.

Final Thoughts
Barbarella #2 is an entertaining ride that won’t let you down. This series has really taken off in just 2 issues and gives me great hope for what’s to come going forward. This is a Pull List staple for me at this point, and you should add it to yours as well.
Final Grade: 9/10
