Frey has faced a turbulent life over hundreds of years making choice after choice whether right or wrong. Her family has caught up to her and Owen and time has run out for them both. Frey is forced to make perhaps the biggest decision of them all. Does she kill the man who could expose their secrets and rejoin her family or does she attempt to end their centuries of destruction once and for all in Kill All Immortals #4!

Let’s Share Some Thoughts:

From the get go the cover alone is a thing to marvel at. The bright shades of blue and splashes of blood against the soft color tones continue the tradition of this story being a gruesome one.

Within the pages Thiago and Fico take a bit of a softer tone to this story. Previous issues met the audience with bloody and violent fight scenes whereas this issue allows our fast-paced story to breathe a bit. There are still some great fighting in this issue but, it is done against a background of a burning sunset and crystal blue water. I loved the change of pace as far as the artwork went. The characters still brought the same tenacity and emotions as this is a highly emotionally charged story that seeps from the facial features.

Meanwhile, Zack continues to craft a compelling story woven with threads and a “who do I believe” mentality. He allows this story to breathe and focus on a crisis of faith. Does Frey stick by her families side, her morals, or the man she has until now defended. He does a solid job of creating three different sides in this story which add even more depth.

So How Do I Feel Overall?:

Kill All Immortals #4 takes an emotional step back to allow its audience to take a breath before cranking up the action in more heart-pounding ways. Frey continues to cement herself as a bad ass and the audience is left with a cliff hanger questioning everything we have learned to this point.

Another 10/10 by Dark Horse and this outstanding team!
