Wolverine #2:
There’s a lot to catch up on and poor Logan simply can’t catch a break. After trying to be alone with his pack and spend time in Canada’s Northwest Territories in the wilderness, living with the animals, an old enemy came looking for our hero, killing his pack of wolves in the process.
But after he was able to defeat Cyber, a mysterious creature has appeared, but he wants to feed on Adamantium, the unbreakable metal that covers all of Logan’s bones, including his iconic claws.
Meanwhile, Logan has to team up with an OLD foe in order to save the innocent soul within!
Creative Team:
Writer: Saladin Ahmed
Artist: Martin Coccolo
Letters: VC’S Cory Petit
Color Artist: Bryan Valenza
PUBLISHER: Marvel Comics
The Art:
First off, the cover is electric!
NOTHING draws a new comic fan in more that a cover that’s battle tested and ready!
Inside the book, there’s a stunning contrast that focuses on Logan’s inner pain and torment.
But Coccolo is able to pivot into action quite easily, which the writing compliments to perfection.
You’re also going to love the artistic take of yet another villain from Logan’s past!
The Writing:
This book brings you inside the mind of Logan as he’s being hunted for Cyber’s crimes. Then, we suddenly get a visit from an old enemy – like an enemy from Logan’s introduction into the Marvel Universe – the Wendigo!
But there’s a twist, this version of the Wendigo isn’t out to hurt or fight Logan, he’s looking for help?!
This could get very interesting! The duo might need to team up if they are going to evade the trackers looking to take them down!
A Wendigo and Wolverine team-up?? YES PLEASE!
Overall: 10/10
Just a fun, enticing book that is classic Logan. A lot of action, tormented pain and twists.
This is a must read for Wolverine fans and non-fans a like. It has a throwback feel, but also a modern twist. I love it!
