It’s not everyday that you get to celebrate a homecoming. It’s also not everyday that you get the call to launch back into action as a superhero. But for Jack it’s just another day.

I’m Hard Now *Bleep*

Jack goes to Hell’s Gate Penitentiary to pick up Rudy who has just been released. Jack takes Rudy home and introduces her to the family. He also gets her a job with his mom helping out Super Powered Individuals.

Jack finds himself being recruited by the Third Gen by Erica, and this sparks him to put the spandex back on and once again become Crossjack. As the world rejoices about his return, Rudy is upset that he has returned to being a Superhero, while others are incarcerated. What will Jack do and who will he choose?

Now They Have Help

Being that this is my first issue of Local Man to read and review, it was easy to pick up the story and follow. This issue has a great story that includes redemption, returns, and reunions. Did I mention the action in this book? Because it has that as well.

The art is great as well. It has that early 2000’s Superhero vibe. The colors are vibrant and give you X-Men feels. The character designs are really cool, and every character feels different from the other characters.

Final Thoughts

Local Man #25 is a great read and has me hooked on this series going forward. It has a tremendous story and phenomenal art. This may have been my first foray into Local Man, but I promise it won’t be the last.

Final Grade: 9/10
